We are Candice and Rachael, two people living with indolent systemic mastocytosis. This podcast started from a desire to center patient stories and experiences in a long-form, conversational format. As an avid podcast listener, and consumer of all things SM, Candice felt a gap in the types of podcasts available to her. After pining for longer, more in-depth and personal conversations, and a wanting more patient stories, it occurred to her that she could create the thing she wants, and thus the seed was planted. After asking Rachael if she would be a guest on an episode, a cascade of conversation led to the most natural thing: a cohost.

We both consider ourselves to be active in the SM community and advocates for ourselves and others living with SM. We have questions (so many questions) and enough connections to get answers to them. We are so excited to share this with our community, and are looking forward to where it takes us.
